Bud Gates, Chairman and CEO of
easygates, LLC announced the signing of two franchises totaling
16 stores. It is anticipated that 2 to 3 of these stores will be
opened by the end of 2008.
Former Chairman and CEO of Rent-A-Center and THORN Americas,
Inc., Bud Gates, established easygates, LLC, in 2007 to create a
platform for developing both corporate and franchise stores in
the U.S. $6 billion rent-to-own industry.
easygates, LLC through easyhome U.S. Ltd. has the exclusive
rights to franchise or operate easyhome stores in the 36 states
in the U.S. which do not border with Canada. easyhome Ltd.
(parent company of easyhome U.S. Ltd), is Canada's largest
merchandise leasing company and the third largest in the world,
as measured by store count. easyhome Ltd. operates 220 stores
across Canada and the U.S. (including 1 license and 3 franchise
stores in Canada).
