Rentcash Inc (TSXV: RCS) announced that Bill Johnson has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Insta-rent, its rental division.

For the past ten years, Johnson was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of easyhome, the largest rent to own company in Canada.

Johnson announced his retirement from easyhome in November of 2005. (see story: easyhome Executive VP and CFO Bill Johnson Retires )

"Bill Johnson is a valuable addition to our rental division and to the management team of Rentcash as a whole. He brings with him a wealth of business knowledge and experience that spans a 35 year career," said Gordon J. Reykdal, Rentcash's Chairman and CEO. Reykdal added, "His rental background and knowledge of the rental industry will be instrumental in taking Insta-rent to the next level which could include a restructuring of the rental business or other strategic alternatives that the Board of Directors of Rentcash may review."

Mr Johnson commented, "I'm excited about my new position and the opportunities that exist, not only with Insta-rent, but also within the rental industry in Canada."
