Tom Devlin, co-founder of Rent a
Center, will speak to business leaders at Wichita State
University on September 10th. The focus will be
Entrepreneurship.
WSU's 'Center for Entrepreneurship' is sponsoring the event.
The Center is also publishing a book chronicling Devlin's rags
to riches story entitled 'Playing Through'.

Rent a Center alums are icons at WSU. The Barton School of
Business is named after W. Frank Barton who co-founded Rent a
Center with Devlin in 1973. The Center for Entrepreneurship is
housed in Devlin Hall.
Among Tom Devlin's more recent accomplishments is the
founding of
Flint Hills National Golf Club in 1997. The course was
ranked second in the State in 1999 by Golf Digest. Flint Hills
is ranked 4.7 out of 5 by users on
golfcourse.com.
