Jonesboro Arkansas based Furniture and Appliances Now (FAN) increased it's store count to 18 with the acquisition of Pay-Less Rentals in Conway Arkansas. The purchase was finalized on Thursday, December 2nd.

Pay-Less Rentals, located at 2125 Harkrider, has been operated and co-owned by Curt Crook and Richard & Theresa Lassiter for the past three years. Crook is in the process of opening a computer sales and service store in the downtown area of Conway.

Furniture & Appliances Now president Geron Vail said that the company is elated to have a location in Faulkner County. "Conway has long been an attractive area for FAN," as the company is popularly known, said Vail. "The Faulkner County trade area is progressive, has strong community leadership, and is poised for explosive growth. It’s a perfect fit geographically, and for our customer base."

The new Conway FAN joins other central Arkansas Furniture & Appliances Now stores in Little Rock where it has two locations, in addition to Cabot, Searcy, Malvern, and Russellville.

Under FAN ownership, the Conway store will be remodeled and stocked with an expanded selection of furniture, televisions and electronics, computers, and major appliances. FAN offers Ashley Furniture, GE and Whirlpool appliances, DELL computers, Toshiba and JVC televisions, and others. Budget Phone prepaid home phone and wireless replenishment services will also be offered.

FAN rental ownership plans include cash, 90 days same as cash terms, rent to own with early purchase options, and traditional rent to own plans.

Furniture & Appliances Now is also including the Conway store in a unique "$16,000 Live Free for a Year Sweepstakes" promotion featured in the December 1st issue of RTO Magazine. The Grand Prize winner will have his or her rent or home mortgage payment paid by FAN throughout calendar year 2005.
