The 2006 TARA Convention theme is Capitol-izing on the Future

The 23rd annual TARA Convention & Southwest Buying Show will be held March 25-28, 2006 at the Austin Renaissance Hotel in Austin, Texas (agenda below).

TARA is the largest and most active state rental purchase trade association and this years convention is expected to draw rent to own dealers from 4 states; Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

Since 2004, TARA has invited RTO dealers from all surrounding states in an attempt to 'regionalize' the show. The Ohio Rental Dealers Association (ORDA) organized the nations first regional RTO tradeshow in September, 2004. The event was dubbed "The Midwest Expo" and included dealers from Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Illinois and West Virginia, (see story).

TARA will kick off the convention with the traditional Casino Night. The event will also feature the annual TARA Golf Tournament. Non golfers can take a Lake Travis Cruise and have lunch at an Austin favorite right on the lake.
