Company officials say that the buy-here-pay-here Rent to Own concept benefits sub-prime consumers by avoiding additional debt.

Auto by Rent, Inc., a Springfield, Missouri based sub-prime auto dealer, is offering franchise opportunities for those interested in owning a Rent to Own vehicle dealership.

Auto by Rent offers a unique rent to own vehicle program that is not based on current or prior credit. franchise fees are expected to be in the $50,000 range and will be available beginning late-March or early-April 2007.

Auto by Rent currently operates four company owned used car and truck dealerships in southwest Missouri. Company officials say they have been developing the franchise system for four years which includes setting a scoring system for the franchisee to process customers, securing necessary product lines to support the business, and establishing financing services to support those interested in the franchise. Franchisees will receive six weeks of operational training.
