CES Innovations Awards are selected annually by a panel of industry designers, engineers and journalists who judge product entries on criteria including user value, aesthetics, innovative design, quality and contributions to the quality of life.

LG Electronics has been recognized with 2008 CES Innovation Awards by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) for excellence in design and technology in multiple categories, including Video Displays, Video Components, Personal Electronics, Home Appliance, and Wireless Communications.

LG has earned more than 60 CES Innovations Awards over the past four years. LG's honorees for the 2008 International CES include products as diverse as flat-panel TVs and Steam Dryers.

Products earning awards this year include the company's 52-inch 1080p "Full HD" LCD HDTV with an integrated 802.11 wireless transmission system and LG's Steam Dryer that injects steam into the dryer drum to reduce wrinkles and reduce static.
