Rent-A-Center (NASDAQ:RCII) Manager John Nelson says he is pleased to offer
Cary, NC and the surrounding communities a new option when it
comes to acquiring ownership of high-quality furniture,
appliances, electronics and computers. "We are the first
rent-to-own store in Cary," said Nelson. "This is a great
opportunity to show the 120,000 Cary residents what
Rent-A-Center has to offer in the way of home furnishings. We're
going to help people find what they need and a payment option
that works for them."
Nelson, who transferred from a store in Knightdale, N.C., is
joined by four co-workers to serve customers.
To show its appreciation for being welcomed to the Cary
community, Rent-A-Center is contributing to two local nonprofits
that provide assistance to families.
The Helping Hand
Mission and the
Carying Place will both receive $1,000 grants at the store's
official ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Cary Chamber of
Commerce today Thursday, October 22 at 10 a.m.
The Cary store is the 129th Rent-A-Center in North Carolina.
Rent-A-Center operates more than 3,000 stores in the United
States, Puerto Rico and Canada and employs approximately 18,900
co-workers.
