Rent-A-Center operates more than 3,000 stores in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.

Rent-A-Center (NASDAQ:RCII) will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, October 8, 2009 in Booneville, MS to dedicate the opening of the company's 35th Mississippi location. The new store will be managed by Richard Tutor.

To show its appreciation for being welcomed to the Booneville area, Rent-A-Center is contributing a $1,000 grant to the Prentiss Baptist Association, which offers food, clothing and financial assistant to those in need. The George E. Allen Library will also receive a $1,000 grant to purchase financial education materials. The donations will be presented during Thursday's ribbon-cutting.

Rent-A-Center will also dedicate two new RAC Rooms this week at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix, and the Ernest Ingold Clubhouse in San Francisco.
